Is MS Progressive? Terry Wahl's Story

Terry Wahls is a doctor of internal medicine focusing on physiological and psychological diseases, she was diagnosed with Relapsing remitting MS in 2000 and secondary progressive MS 3 years later. By 2007, she had been in a power wheelchair for 4 years and was desperate not to succumb to this disease. She began to relentlessly research the disease and possible treatments. In addition to her continued exercise she trialled dietary approaches focusing on detoxification and getting proper nutrients. She found her recipe for success and by 2008, She was not only walking, she was riding her bike to work and back. It's an understatement to say that she is inspirational and a symbol of hope when everyone else sees hopelessness.  She currently works on clinical trials with MS patients focusing on dietary interventions at the University of Iowa with donations and also a 1 million dollar grant from the National MS Society.
