Surgical Implants

My opinion about surgical implants is colored by my experience of having a bone graft implanted and rejected, leading to the worst physical trial of my life. And also by Hal Huggins' story of a woman who developed severe dementia after a hip replacement. The surgeon decided it was best to removed the hip implant after he saw the result. Huggins first tried another option. He gave the woman a dental revision, removing her root canals and mercury fillings. Miraculously, her cognition returned without removing the hip implant. The dental fillings and root canals combined with the hip implant was enough to overload her immune system.

My advice to those considering joint replacement is to put it off as long as you can and try other strategies including diet and antioxidants, especially if the person has an immune condition.

Also, when deciding between an autograft (one's own tissue) vs. an allograft (donated tissue), i'd recommend an autograft, again, especially if one has an immune issue.
